Ajuga Metallica Crispa

Ajuga ‘Metallica Crispa’ is a distinctive low-growing perennial groundcover known for its uniquely crinkled, metallic bronze-purple foliage and vibrant spikes of deep blue flowers in spring. The glossy, textured leaves create year-round visual interest, while the bright blooms provide a striking contrast that attracts bees and other pollinators. Its dense, spreading habit forms a colorful carpet of foliage, making it an excellent choice for borders, woodland gardens, rock gardens, and areas beneath trees and shrubs.

This variety is especially valued for its unusual leaf texture and rich foliage color, which adds depth and contrast to shaded garden spaces. Its vigorous growth habit helps suppress weeds while creating a lush, finished look in the landscape.

Maintenance: Plant in partial sun & shade to full shade with moist, well-drained soil.
