Anthurium

Anthurium, commonly known as Flamingo Flower or Laceleaf, refers to a group of tropical plants in the genus Anthurium, prized for their glossy foliage and long-lasting, heart-shaped blooms. Their vibrant “flowers” (actually modified leaves called spathes) come in shades of red, pink, white, and more, adding a bold pop of color to any indoor plant collection. Anthuriums are a favorite for brightening living spaces and are valued for their ornamental beauty and air-purifying qualities.

Anthuriums thrive in bright, indirect light and prefer warm, humid environments, making them ideal houseplants for bathrooms or kitchens. Plant in well-draining, airy soil and water when the top inch of soil feels dry, ensuring excess water drains away to prevent root rot. Regular misting or a humidifier can help maintain the humidity they love, and occasional feeding during the growing season will encourage continuous blooms.
