'Girard's Crimson' is a woody, broadleaf evergreen shrub in the Ericaceae (blueberry) family. It has a rounded compact form 2 to 4 feet high and 3 to 4 feet wide. The genus name derives from the Greek words rhodo, which means rose, and dendron, meaning tree.
Maintenance Tip:
They do best in full sun to partial sun and shade. Prune immediately after flowering to avoid removing next year’s buds. Keep soil consistently moist and acidic, mulch to protect roots, and fertilize in spring with an acid-loving plant food.
