'Blaauw's Pink' grows to 2-4' tall and as wide. It features double, hose-in-hose, salmon-pink flowers (to 1 1/4" wide) in a dense, shrub-covering, spring bloom (April-May). Small, glossy dark green leaves are evergreen.
'Gibraltar Azalea' is covered in stunning clusters of lightly-scented orange trumpet-shaped flowers with a yellow blotch at the ends of the branches in mid spring before the leaves. It has green deciduous foliage. The narrow leaves do not develop any appreciable fall color.
'Girard's Crimson' is a woody, broadleaf evergreen shrub in the Ericaceae (blueberry) family. It has a rounded compact form 2 to 4 feet high and 3 to 4 feet wide. The genus name derives from the Greek words rhodo, which means rose, and dendron, meaning tree.
'Girard's Fuchsia' is an evergreen, spreading shrub that may grow to 30" wide by 24" high in 4 years. Will reach 4 to 6 feet over time. Clusters of deep reddish-purple flowers in May.
'Pleasant White' is a Girard hybrid developed and introduced by Girard Nurseries of Geneva, Ohio. It is an upright, low-growing shrub which typically reaches 2-2.5' tall with a similar spread after 7 years. Dark green foliage is evergreen. White, rounded flowers (to 3" across) appear in spring.
'Karen' is an attractive evergreen shrub that makes a great specimen, grouping, or foundation plant. Clusters of lavender-pink flowers bloom in mid-spring. Glossy green leaves turn red-purple in the fall, and hold the color throughout the winter. Karen peforms best in rich soil that is moist and acidic.
'Lemon Lights' is smothered in stunning clusters of lightly-scented lemon yellow trumpet-shaped flowers with a yellow blotch at the ends of the branches in mid spring before the leaves. It has green deciduous foliage. The narrow leaves turn an outstanding purple in the fall.
'Mandarin Lights' has flowers with narrow tubular funnel-shaped, wavy edges, about 2¼" across, and strong reddish orange with darker veining and strong orange blotch on upper lobe. Ball-shaped truss has 7-10 flowers.
Maintenance Tip:
Prune immediately after flowering to avoid removing next year’s buds. Keep soil consistently moist and acidic, mulch to protect roots, and fertilize in spring with an acid-loving plant food.
