#3 gallon pot.
Pugster Blue Butterfly Bush (Buddleia) is a compact, dwarf flowering shrub prized for its large, fragrant spikes of rich blue to violet-blue flowers with tiny yellow-orange centers that attract butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds throughout summer and into fall. Its sturdy stems and dense, rounded form provide improved winter hardiness while producing full-sized blooms on a small plant. Growing approximately 2 feet tall and 2–3 feet wide, it provides vibrant color without taking up much space.
Thriving in full sun and well-draining soil, it is drought tolerant once established and highly pollinator-friendly. Ideal for borders, containers, and smaller sunny garden beds.
Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment, then during extended dry periods. Cut back in spring once new growth begins to encourage vigorous growth and abundant flowers. Deadheading is not required for continuous blooming, but faded flowers can be removed for a neater appearance. Avoid fall pruning.
