#7 gallon pot.
North Star Cherry Tree - Trees for Cross pollination: Bing, Lapins, Rainier, & Stella. Height: 8-12ft, Width: 8-12ft. Interest: Fruit in June/July. The North Star cherry is a high yielding and tart, flavorful fruit perfect for baking and preserves. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, requires minimal pruning due to its dwarf nature, and produces fragrant white blossoms in spring, with fruit ripening in early to mid-summer.
Maintenance Tip:
Prune lightly after fruiting (or in late winter for young trees) to maintain structure and remove dead or crowded branches. Water regularly during dry spells, especially while fruit is developing, and fertilize in early spring to support growth. Netting may be needed to protect ripening fruit from birds.
