Crabapple Trees Prairifire

Prairifire Crabapple Tree - Height: 15-20ft, Width: 15-20ft. Bloom Time: Early May. We may be far from the prairie, but this spectacular specimen is right at home in any New England landscape. It has a dense, rounded form, and bright fuchsia buds that will become deep red/pink fragrant flowers before your eyes in May, complementing the purple new growth that will emerge. Mature leaves are eye-catching with red tinged veins against a deep reddish-green leaf body that turns an attractive orange in autumn. Small red berries complete the picture on this stunning plant that will thrive in full sun.

Maintenance Tip:
Prune in late winter to remove dead, diseased, or crowded branches and improve airflow. Water during prolonged dry periods, especially when young, and apply fertilizer in early spring. Remove fallen fruit and debris to reduce disease and pest issues.
