#3 gallon pot.
Arctic Fire Red Dogwood (Cornus sericea 'Farrow') is a compact, deciduous shrub known for its brilliant red stems that provide striking color throughout winter. Its lush green foliage is complemented by clusters of small white flowers in late spring, followed by white berries that attract birds. Growing approximately 3–5 feet tall and wide, it offers beautiful seasonal interest without the larger size of traditional red twig dogwoods.
Thriving in full sun to partial shade and moist, well-draining soil, it is low maintenance and pollinator-friendly. Ideal for mixed borders, foundation plantings, mass plantings, and winter-interest gardens.
Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment and keep soil consistently moist, especially during dry periods. In early spring, remove a few of the oldest stems at ground level to encourage fresh growth with vibrant red winter color. Apply mulch to retain moisture and protect roots.
