Dogwood Trees Venus

#7 gallon pot.

Venus® Dogwood Tree - Height: 15-20 ft, Width: 15-20 ft. Bloom Time: Late May into June. Venus® Dogwood is a spectacular flowering tree known for its exceptionally large, creamy-white flower bracts that can reach 6 inches across, creating an impressive display in late spring. Its lush green summer foliage develops attractive shades of red, orange, and purple in fall, while strawberry-like red fruit can provide additional seasonal interest. A vigorous hybrid with excellent resistance to common dogwood diseases, Venus® makes a beautiful specimen tree for lawns, garden beds, and entry landscapes. Plant in full sun to partial shade in moist, well-draining soil. Water regularly during establishment and during extended dry periods. Little pruning is required beyond removing dead, damaged, or crossing branches.

Maintenance Tip:
Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and remove dead or damaged branches. Keep soil consistently moist but well-drained, and mulch to protect shallow roots. Fertilize in early spring and monitor for common issues like anthracnose, especially in humid conditions.
