Euonymous Shrubs Emerald Gaiety

Emerald Gaiety Euonymus (Euonymus fortunei 'Emerald Gaiety') is a versatile evergreen shrub known for its glossy, deep green foliage edged in creamy white, creating beautiful year-round color and contrast. Its dense, spreading growth habit makes it ideal for low hedges, groundcover, and foundation plantings. The white leaf margins develop attractive pinkish tones during colder months, adding winter interest. Growing approximately 3–5 feet tall and 3–6 feet wide, it provides lasting structure and texture in the landscape.

Thriving in full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil, it is adaptable to a variety of growing conditions and generally low maintenance once established. Ideal for mixed borders, foundation plantings, and evergreen groundcover.

Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment, then during extended dry periods. Prune as needed in early spring to maintain shape and control spreading growth. Remove any solid green shoots to preserve its variegated foliage, and fertilize lightly in spring if needed.
