Heucherella ‘Sweet Tea’ (Foamy Bells) is a striking perennial valued for its warm cinnamon-orange foliage with a bold dark red starburst pattern at the center of each leaf. Its deeply cut, maple-like leaves provide season-long color and texture, especially in shaded to part-shaded garden areas. In late spring to early summer, airy spikes of small creamy white flowers rise above the foliage, adding lightness and attracting pollinators.
This hybrid of Heuchera and Tiarella combines the best traits of both plants—vibrant foliage color, improved vigor, and excellent landscape versatility. It works beautifully in borders, woodland gardens, and containers where its rich tones can stand out.
Maintenance: Plant in partial shade to bright indirect light with rich, well-drained soil. Water regularly during the first 1–2 weeks after planting to establish roots, then maintain consistent but moderate moisture. Avoid soggy soil conditions, especially in winter, to prevent crown issues. Remove faded flower stalks after blooming and clean up old or damaged foliage in early spring to encourage fresh, healthy growth.
