#3 gallon pot.
Little Quick Fire Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata) is a beautiful, early-blooming deciduous shrub known for its abundant, airy clusters of white flowers that gradually transform into soft pink and eventually rich rosy-red tones as summer progresses. Blooming several weeks earlier than many traditional panicle hydrangeas, it provides an extended display of colorful flowers from early summer into fall. Its attractive green foliage and naturally compact, upright growth habit make it an excellent choice for adding seasonal color without requiring a large planting space. Growing approximately 3–5 feet tall and wide, it creates a beautiful, manageable landscape accent.
Thriving in full sun to partial shade and moist, well-draining soil, it is cold hardy, low maintenance, and beginner-friendly. Ideal for mixed borders, foundation plantings, flowering hedges, containers, and smaller landscapes.
Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment, then deeply during prolonged dry periods. Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth begins to encourage vigorous branching and abundant flowering. Remove damaged or crossing branches as needed, apply mulch to retain soil moisture, and fertilize lightly in spring if needed.
