Quickfire Hydrangea - Height: 6-8 ft, Width: 6-8 ft. Interest: Early-blooming white flowers that fade to pink and red. ‘Quickfire’ Hydrangea is an early-blooming variety with white cone-shaped flowers that mature to pink and red in late summer. Compact and upright, it works beautifully in garden borders or container planting. Plant in full sun to partial shade with well-draining soil. Water regularly during establishment. Minimal pruning is required to maintain form and encourage flowering.
Maintenance Tip:
Prune in late winter or early spring (for panicle varieties) to maintain shape and encourage strong blooms. Water consistently, especially during hot weather, and mulch to retain moisture. Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring, and remove spent blooms to keep the tree looking tidy.
