Blue Pacific Juniper (Juniperus conferta 'Blue Pacific') is a low-growing, spreading evergreen shrub known for its dense, blue-green, needle-like foliage that provides beautiful year-round color and texture. Its trailing branches create a thick, carpet-like appearance, making it an excellent groundcover for slopes and open landscape areas. Growing approximately 6–12 inches tall and 4–6 feet wide, it provides attractive coverage while helping control soil erosion.
Thriving in full sun and well-draining soil, it is drought tolerant once established and generally low maintenance. Ideal for groundcover, rock gardens, slopes, retaining walls, and sunny landscapes.
Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment, then during extended dry periods. Prune lightly in early spring if needed to control spreading growth, avoiding cuts into old wood. Ensure excellent drainage to prevent root issues, and apply mulch around newly planted shrubs to retain moisture.
