Juniper Shrubs Blue Star

Blue Star Juniper (Juniperus squamata 'Blue Star') is a compact, slow-growing evergreen shrub prized for its stunning, silvery-blue, needle-like foliage that provides vibrant color throughout the year. Its dense, naturally rounded growth habit creates a soft, starburst-like appearance, adding beautiful texture and contrast to surrounding plants. Growing approximately 1–3 feet tall and 2–4 feet wide, it offers a colorful evergreen accent without taking up much space.

Thriving in full sun and well-draining soil, it is drought tolerant once established, low maintenance, and excellent for smaller landscapes. Ideal for rock gardens, foundation plantings, mixed borders, containers, and evergreen accents.

Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment, then during extended dry periods. Prune lightly in early spring only if needed, as its naturally compact shape requires little maintenance. Remove any dead or damaged branches, avoid cutting into old wood, and ensure proper drainage to maintain healthy roots.
