#3 gallon pot.
Bloomerang Dark Purple Lilac (Syringa) is a beautiful, reblooming deciduous shrub known for its large clusters of fragrant, deep purple flowers that appear in mid to late spring and return from midsummer into fall. Its lush green foliage and naturally dense, rounded growth habit create an attractive appearance throughout the growing season. Growing approximately 4–6 feet tall and wide, it provides extended seasonal color compared to traditional lilac varieties.
Thriving in full sun and well-draining soil, it is low maintenance, disease resistant, fragrant, and highly pollinator-friendly. Ideal for foundation plantings, mixed borders, flowering hedges, and smaller landscapes.
Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment, then during extended dry periods. Prune lightly immediately after the first spring bloom if needed to maintain shape, avoiding heavy pruning that could reduce later flowers. Remove spent blooms as desired, apply mulch to retain moisture, and fertilize lightly in early spring if needed.
