Moon Cactus

Moon Cactus, also known as Gymnocalycium mihanovichii (grafted onto a rootstock cactus), is a colorful, low-maintenance cactus prized for its vibrant, globe-shaped top in shades of red, yellow, orange, or pink. Its bright, almost neon appearance makes it a fun and eye-catching addition to desks, windowsills, or small plant collections. This compact cactus is perfect for beginners and adds a playful pop of color to any indoor space.

Moon Cactus thrives in bright, indirect light and prefers well-draining cactus or succulent soil. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings, as it is highly sensitive to overwatering. Because it is a grafted plant, the colorful top lacks chlorophyll and relies on the green base for nutrients. With proper care, it will maintain its bold color and compact shape with minimal effort.

Note: Moon Cactus is generally considered non-toxic to pets, though it’s still best to keep it out of reach due to its spines and to prevent ingestion.
