#3 gallon pot.
Amber Jubilee Ninebark (Physocarpus opulifolius 'Jefam') is a colorful, deciduous shrub known for its stunning foliage that emerges in vibrant shades of orange, yellow, and gold before transitioning to green in summer and rich red-purple tones in fall. Delicate clusters of white flowers appear in late spring, attracting pollinators, while its naturally peeling bark adds winter interest. Growing approximately 5–7 feet tall and 4–6 feet wide, it creates a beautiful display of changing colors throughout the seasons.
Thriving in full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil, it is drought tolerant once established, low maintenance, and pollinator-friendly. Ideal for mixed borders, hedges, specimen plantings, and colorful landscapes.
Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment, then during extended dry periods. Prune lightly in early spring to maintain shape and encourage colorful new growth, or prune immediately after flowering to preserve spring blooms. Remove older or damaged stems as needed, and apply mulch to retain soil moisture.
