Pussy Willow

Salix, or Pussy Willow, is a unique shrub known for its soft, silvery catkins that appear in early spring before leaves emerge. These fuzzy buds are a seasonal favorite and add early interest to the landscape.

Thriving in full sun to partial shade, it prefers moist soil and is a fast growing, low maintenance outdoor shrub ideal for naturalized areas.

Maintenance Tip:
Prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage vigorous new growth for next year’s catkins. Keep soil moist and cut back older stems as needed.
