#3 gallon pot.
Aglo Rhododendron (Rhododendron 'Aglo') is a beautiful, early-blooming evergreen shrub known for its abundant clusters of soft pink, lightly fragrant flowers that cover its branches in spring. Its small, dark green leaves provide attractive year-round foliage, developing subtle bronze tones during colder months. Growing approximately 5–6 feet tall and wide, it forms a dense, rounded mound that provides beautiful color and structure throughout the seasons.
Thriving in partial shade and moist, acidic, well-draining soil, it is cold hardy, low maintenance once established, fragrant, and pollinator-friendly. Ideal for foundation plantings, woodland gardens, mixed borders, and flowering hedges.
Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment and keep soil consistently moist, especially during extended dry periods. Prune lightly immediately after flowering if needed to maintain shape and preserve next year's flower buds. Apply mulch to retain moisture and protect shallow roots, and fertilize with an acid-loving fertilizer in early spring if needed.
