#5 gallon pot.
Maximum 'Roseum' Rhododendron (aka Pink Rosebay Rhododendron) is a large, native evergreen shrub prized for its spectacular clusters of soft lavender-pink flowers that bloom in late spring to early summer, often several weeks after other rhododendron varieties have finished flowering. Its long, leathery, deep green leaves provide beautiful year-round foliage, while its broad, naturally spreading growth habit creates an impressive woodland appearance. Growing approximately 6–8 feet tall and 8–10 feet wide, it adds substantial structure and seasonal color to larger landscapes.
Thriving in partial shade to full shade and moist, acidic, well-draining soil, it is cold hardy, low maintenance once established, and pollinator-friendly. Ideal for woodland gardens, naturalized areas, large mixed borders, and specimen plantings.
Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment and maintain consistent soil moisture, especially during prolonged dry periods. Prune lightly immediately after flowering if needed to maintain shape, and remove damaged or crossing branches as necessary. Apply mulch to retain moisture and protect shallow roots, and fertilize with an acid-loving fertilizer in early spring if needed.
