PJM Elite Rhododendron (Rhododendron 'P.J.M. Elite') is a beautiful, early-blooming evergreen shrub known for its abundant clusters of vibrant lavender-pink flowers that appear in early to mid-spring. Its small, glossy dark green foliage develops striking reddish-purple to plum-colored tones during fall and winter, providing attractive year-round interest. Growing approximately 4–5 feet tall and 3–4 feet wide, it maintains a dense, upright, rounded growth habit that adds color and structure to the landscape.

Thriving in partial shade and moist, acidic, well-draining soil, it is exceptionally cold hardy, low maintenance once established, and pollinator-friendly. Ideal for foundation plantings, mixed borders, woodland gardens, and flowering hedges.

Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment and maintain consistent soil moisture, especially during extended dry periods. Prune lightly immediately after flowering if needed to maintain shape, although little pruning is generally required. Apply mulch to retain moisture and protect shallow roots, and fertilize with an acid-loving fertilizer in early spring if needed.
