#3 gallon pot.
Lil' Kim Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus 'Antong Two') is a charming dwarf deciduous shrub known for its crisp white flowers accented by bold, deep red centers. Unlike traditional Rose of Sharon varieties, its compact growth habit makes it an excellent choice for smaller landscapes while still producing an abundance of beautiful blooms throughout summer. Its dark green foliage and naturally dense, rounded form provide attractive structure even when not flowering. Growing approximately 3–4 feet tall and wide, it delivers vibrant seasonal interest without overwhelming the surrounding landscape.
Thriving in full sun and well-draining soil, it is heat tolerant, drought tolerant once established, low maintenance, and pollinator-friendly, attracting butterflies and hummingbirds. Ideal for foundation plantings, smaller garden borders, containers, and colorful landscape accents.
Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment, then during extended dry periods. Prune lightly in late winter or early spring if needed to maintain its compact shape and encourage healthy new growth. Apply mulch to retain soil moisture, remove unwanted seedlings if necessary, and fertilize lightly in spring if needed.
