#3 gallon pot.
Lil' Kim Red Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus) is a compact dwarf deciduous shrub prized for its vibrant, deep rosy-red flowers that create a striking display throughout the summer months. Its rich, colorful blooms stand out beautifully against dark green foliage, while its dense, upright growth habit provides a neat and attractive appearance. Offering the beauty of traditional Rose of Sharon in a smaller, more manageable form, it grows approximately 3–4 feet tall and wide, making it perfect for adding bold color to smaller garden spaces.
Thriving in full sun and well-draining soil, it is heat tolerant, drought tolerant once established, deer resistant, low maintenance, and highly pollinator-friendly, attracting bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Ideal for foundation plantings, mixed borders, containers, mass plantings, and smaller landscapes.
Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment, then during prolonged dry periods. Prune lightly in late winter or early spring if needed to maintain shape and encourage abundant flowering on new growth. Remove damaged branches as necessary, apply mulch to retain moisture, and fertilize lightly in spring if needed.
