#3 gallon pot.
Pink Chiffon Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus) is an elegant deciduous flowering shrub prized for its large, soft pink flowers featuring delicate, ruffled centers that create a beautiful, semi-double appearance. Blooming abundantly from midsummer into early fall, its graceful blossoms provide long-lasting color when many other flowering shrubs have finished their seasonal display. Its lush green foliage and softly arching, upright branches create an attractive, flowing appearance throughout the growing season. Growing approximately 8–12 feet tall and 6–7 feet wide, it adds beautiful height and summer color to the landscape.
Thriving in full sun and well-draining soil, it is heat tolerant, drought tolerant once established, deer resistant, low maintenance, and pollinator-friendly, attracting butterflies and hummingbirds. Ideal for flowering hedges, mixed borders, privacy plantings, and specimen plantings.
Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment, then during prolonged dry periods. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and encourage strong new growth, as flowers develop on new branches. Remove damaged or crossing branches as needed, apply mulch to retain soil moisture, and fertilize lightly in spring if needed.
