#3 gallon pot.
Carding Mill Rose (Rosa 'Auswest') is an elegant English shrub rose prized for its beautifully cupped, fully double flowers featuring a delicate blend of apricot, peach, soft pink, and golden-yellow petals. Its romantic blossoms produce a pleasant myrrh fragrance and appear repeatedly from late spring through fall, creating a warm, colorful display. Its naturally bushy, rounded growth habit and lush green foliage provide a classic cottage-garden appearance. Growing approximately 4 feet tall and 3.5 feet wide, it makes a charming addition to sunny landscapes.
Thriving in full sun and fertile, well-draining soil, it is fragrant, repeat flowering, and attractive to pollinators visiting its open blooms. Ideal for mixed borders, cottage gardens, rose gardens, containers, and fragrant specimen plantings.
Maintenance Tip: Water deeply and regularly during establishment, then during extended dry periods. Prune in early spring to remove dead or weak branches and maintain its naturally rounded shape. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage additional blooms throughout the season, and fertilize with a rose fertilizer in spring and again during active growth if needed. Apply mulch to retain soil moisture and protect roots.
