#3 gallon pot.
Charles Darwin Rose (Rosa 'Auspeet') is a stunning English shrub rose known for its exceptionally large, densely petaled flowers in rich shades of golden-yellow to soft mustard-yellow. Its deeply cupped blossoms gradually open into beautiful, rounded rosettes, releasing a strong fragrance with notes of floral tea and fresh lemon. Blooming repeatedly from late spring into fall, its romantic flowers contrast beautifully against lush green foliage. Growing approximately 4–5 feet tall and 4 feet wide, it forms a sturdy, broadly spreading shrub with impressive seasonal color.
Thriving in full sun to partial shade and fertile, well-draining soil, it is highly fragrant, repeat flowering, and suitable for traditional rose gardens. Ideal for mixed borders, cottage gardens, specimen plantings, and fragrant cutting gardens.
Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment and deeply during prolonged dry periods. Prune in early spring to remove dead or crossing branches and maintain its naturally rounded shape. Remove faded blooms to encourage repeat flowering, and fertilize with a balanced rose fertilizer in spring and during active growth if needed. Apply mulch to retain moisture and provide additional winter root protection.
