#3 gallon pot.
Miracle on the Hudson Rose is a beautiful, award-winning flowering rose known for its abundant, velvety bright red double flowers that bloom repeatedly from late spring into fall. Its richly colored blossoms stand out against glossy, deep green foliage, with attractive reddish new growth adding additional seasonal interest. This hardy variety is especially prized for its exceptional resistance to black spot and powdery mildew, providing reliable color with minimal maintenance. Growing approximately 3–4 feet tall and 2–4 feet wide, it forms a dense, rounded shrub that adds bold color to the landscape.
Thriving in full sun and well-draining soil, it is cold hardy, disease resistant, low maintenance, and attractive to pollinators. Ideal for mixed borders, foundation plantings, mass plantings, containers, and colorful garden accents.
Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment, then deeply during extended dry periods. Prune in late winter or early spring to remove damaged stems and encourage healthy new growth. Remove spent flowers as desired to maintain a tidy appearance, and fertilize with a balanced rose fertilizer in spring if needed. Apply mulch to retain moisture and protect roots during colder months.
