Spring Celebrities Mix Hollyhock

Alcea ‘Spring Celebrities Mix’ is a compact, early-flowering hollyhock variety that produces tall, elegant spikes of blooms in a vibrant mix of colors including pink, red, yellow, white, and rose tones. Its classic cottage-garden appearance and vertical flower spikes make it a standout in sunny borders, along fences, and in mixed perennial beds. Unlike traditional tall hollyhocks, this series offers a more manageable height while still delivering bold, eye-catching summer color.

Blooming from early to mid-summer, these hollyhocks attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, adding both movement and life to the garden. Their upright structure also provides excellent vertical interest and works beautifully as a backdrop planting.

Maintenance: Plant in full sun with well-drained soil and water regularly during the first 1–2 weeks after planting to establish strong roots. Once established, maintain moderate watering, especially during dry periods, but avoid overly wet soil. Stake taller flower spikes if needed in windy areas. Remove spent blooms to encourage continued flowering and cut back stems after blooming is complete. In cooler climates, allow some seed heads to remain if natural reseeding is desired.
