Spruce Trees Baby Blue

#10 gallon pot.

Baby Blue Spruce (Picea pungens ‘Baby Blue’) - Height: 15-25 ft, Width: 10-15 ft. Interest: Brilliant silvery-blue needles with a dense, pyramidal evergreen form. Baby Blue Spruce is a beautiful ornamental evergreen prized for its vibrant blue foliage and naturally symmetrical shape. Its stiff, silvery-blue needles provide striking year-round color, while its dense branching creates a full, classic Christmas tree appearance. More compact than traditional Colorado Blue Spruce, this variety makes an excellent specimen tree, landscape accent, or addition to evergreen groupings and privacy plantings. Plant in full sun with well-draining soil for the best blue coloration and healthy growth. Water regularly during establishment and provide additional moisture during extended dry periods. Minimal pruning is needed beyond removing dead or damaged branches.

Maintenance Tip:
Water regularly during establishment and during extended dry periods. Prune minimally, only to remove dead or damaged branches, as spruces maintain a natural shape. Apply mulch to protect roots and conserve moisture, and fertilize in early spring if needed.
