St. John's Wort Sunny Boulevard

#2 gallon pot.

Sunny Boulevard St. John’s Wort (Hypericum kalmianum 'Deppe') is a compact, deciduous flowering shrub known for its cheerful, bright yellow flowers that bloom abundantly from midsummer into early fall. Its narrow, willow-like dark green foliage and naturally dense, rounded growth habit create an attractive appearance throughout the growing season. Growing approximately 2–3 feet tall and wide, it provides long-lasting color and texture without requiring much space.

Thriving in full sun and well-draining soil, it is drought tolerant once established, deer resistant, low maintenance, and highly pollinator-friendly. Ideal for garden borders, foundation plantings, low hedges, and mass plantings.

Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment, then during extended dry periods. Prune lightly after flowering if needed to maintain its naturally rounded shape, and remove older or damaged stems as necessary. Apply mulch to retain soil moisture and protect roots during cold winters, and fertilize lightly in early spring if needed.
