Wisteria Shrubs

Wisteria ‘Amethyst Falls’ is a compact, highly ornamental flowering vine known for its cascading clusters of soft lavender-purple blooms that appear in late spring and often rebloom lightly through summer. Unlike aggressive traditional wisteria varieties, ‘Amethyst Falls’ has a more manageable growth habit, making it ideal for smaller trellises, arbors, pergolas, and fences while still delivering that dramatic, waterfall-like floral display.

This flowering, climbing plant thrives in full sun for best blooming and prefers well-draining soil with moderate moisture. It is low maintenance once established, fast growing, and highly pollinator-friendly, attracting bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. It brings strong vertical interest and a romantic, cascading effect to outdoor garden spaces.

Maintenance Tip: Prune in late winter or early spring to shape the vine and encourage strong flowering growth. Train young stems early onto a support structure for best form, and fertilize in spring to support blooming. Avoid heavy pruning during active growth, as flowers form on new season’s growth.
