#3 gallon pot.
Limelight Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata 'Limelight') is a spectacular, deciduous flowering shrub prized for its enormous, cone-shaped flower clusters that emerge in refreshing lime-green shades before transitioning to creamy white and eventually rich pink and burgundy tones in fall. Blooming from midsummer into autumn, its abundant blossoms stand out beautifully against lush green foliage, while strong, upright stems help support the impressive flowers. Growing approximately 6–8 feet tall and wide, it creates a bold, rounded form that adds height, structure, and long-lasting seasonal color to the landscape.
Thriving in full sun to partial shade and moist, well-draining soil, it is cold hardy, low maintenance, and beginner-friendly. Ideal for flowering hedges, privacy plantings, mixed borders, specimen plantings, and large landscape displays.
Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment, then deeply during extended dry periods. Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth begins to control size and encourage strong stems and abundant blooms. Remove damaged or crossing branches as needed, apply mulch to retain soil moisture, and fertilize lightly in spring if needed.
