#3 gallon pot.
Little Lime Punch Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata) is a colorful, compact deciduous shrub prized for its spectacular flower clusters that transition through multiple shades of lime green, creamy white, soft pink, and vibrant raspberry-red throughout summer and fall. Because new flowers continue developing as older blooms change color, the plant often displays several beautiful shades at once. Its sturdy stems and naturally dense, rounded growth habit create a vibrant, full appearance throughout the blooming season. Growing approximately 3–5 feet tall and wide, it provides stunning seasonal color in a manageable landscape size.
Thriving in full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil, it is cold hardy, low maintenance, and beginner-friendly. Ideal for foundation plantings, mixed borders, flowering hedges, mass plantings, and colorful garden accents.
Maintenance Tip: Water regularly after planting until established, then deeply during extended dry periods. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and encourage healthy new growth and abundant blooms. Its flower colors change naturally as they mature and are not affected by soil pH. Apply mulch to retain moisture and fertilize lightly in spring if needed.
