Ninebark Shrubs Center Glow

#3 gallon pot.

Center Glow Ninebark (Physocarpus opulifolius 'Center Glow') is a vibrant, deciduous shrub known for its unique foliage that emerges in shades of golden-yellow and green with reddish edges before maturing to rich burgundy-purple. The combination of colorful new and mature leaves creates a striking, multicolored appearance throughout the growing season. Clusters of delicate pinkish-white flowers bloom in late spring, followed by attractive reddish seed capsules, while peeling bark adds winter interest. Growing approximately 6–8 feet tall and wide, it makes a beautiful statement in larger landscapes.

Thriving in full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil, it is drought tolerant once established, low maintenance, and pollinator-friendly. Ideal for hedges, privacy screens, mixed borders, and specimen plantings.

Maintenance Tip: Water regularly during establishment, then during prolonged dry periods. Prune lightly immediately after flowering to maintain shape and encourage healthy growth, or remove older stems in late winter to rejuvenate mature plants. Apply mulch to retain soil moisture and protect roots.
