Weeping Alaskan Cedar

Weeping Alaskan Cedar (Chamaecyparis nootkatensis 'Pendula') is a graceful evergreen prized for its elegant, cascading branches and rich blue-green foliage. Its narrow, upright form is softened by long, pendulous sprays that drape from the branches, creating a dramatic waterfall-like effect in the landscape. This slow-growing specimen develops into a striking focal point, adding year-round texture, movement, and architectural interest to gardens and foundation plantings.

Known for its distinctive weeping habit and refined appearance, Weeping Alaskan Cedar works beautifully as a specimen tree, accent planting, or evergreen screen. Its evergreen foliage provides four-season interest while maintaining a graceful silhouette that becomes more impressive with age.

Maintenance: Plant in full sun to partial shade with moist, well-drained soil. Water regularly during the first 1–2 weeks after planting to establish roots, then provide supplemental watering during prolonged dry periods. Apply mulch around the base to help retain moisture and protect roots. Minimal pruning is needed beyond removing damaged or crossing branches, allowing the tree's naturally graceful form to develop over time.
